Join in the yuletide celebration by visiting the most spectacular gardens on the East Coast, Longwood Gardens. Each year the phenomenal Christmas displays in the Conservatory are recognized throughout the United States. This year promises to be no exception, for there will be hundreds of fresh flowers, wreaths, trees and lights to delight people of all ages. Lunch will be in the completely redesigned Café which offers fresh fare from soups and salads to delicious entrees. The gift shop is the perfect place to find stunning home accessories and whimsical gifts.

After Longwood Gardens a guided tour is planned at the DuPont estate which was the very beginning of the DuPont family in America. Hagley is the name of the DuPont home and Eleutherian Mills is the name of the gunpowder works. The tour will explain how the DuPont’s began with a gunpowder formula in the 1800’s and became one of the largest corporations in the United States. The ancestral home will be beautifully decorated for the holidays.
