Love and laughter make Billy Elliott the Musical "the best show you'll ever see" says the New York Post and earned it ten Tony Awards including the Best Musical in 2009. Billy Elliott is the fascinating story of how a young boy, who is the son of a gruff coal miner, trades in his boxing gloves for ballet shoes and tries to pursue his passion despite all the adversity around him. The music is by Sir Elton John, one of the best in the business, and the songs reflect all the emotions confronting Billy on his path to fulfilling his dreams. Coming to the Kennedy Center for a very short time this entertaining musical should be on everyone's Christmas list.

Lunch will be before the matinee at Filomena's Restorante located in historic Georgetown. This classic restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere.
